What is car welding rust repair
Car rust repair for the likes of MOT’s is fixing corrosion to a safe standard to make the car structurally safe and therefor MOT passable. This process involves grinding the corroded metal away until good metal is reached. Once the corroded metal is ground / cut away then a new piece of metal is fabricated for the hole where the corroded metal was. The new metal is then welded in place and coated in a protective coating to prevent further corrosion in the future.
Car Restoration
Like car rust repair, restoration work is the same principle but to a higher / factory standard. When restoring cars that have corrosion the corroded metal is ground / cut away, but the new piece of metal may be fabricated or a replacement pressed panel may be purchased and welded, in such a way that it is difficult to detect that any work was ever carried out. This method is usually carried out on classic cars or enthusiast cars and costs more than a standard rust repair due to the additional time required to carry out the work, and due to the use of more specialist tools.

Rust treatment, prevention and undersealing
Rust treatment and prevention is where we pressure wash and degreased the underside of a car / van / truck, then remove any heavily rusted areas and use a rust inhibitor to neutralise any remaining rust. Once this process is complete we will underseal the undercarriage of the vehicle to seal all the components to prevent any further corrosion and extend the life of the vehicle. We also rust treat with inhibitor and wax oil the inside of the chassis rails and any cavities to prevent rust from forming where it cannot be seen. This will also help the value of your car / van / truck with proper protection on the underside. This service costs between £500 - £600 and 2 – 3 days to carry out
We also offer a more budget friendly option which involves pressure washing the underside of your car / van / truck and applying Lanoguard which is a yearly lasting product and is meant to be applied every year. We will also apply cavity wax oil to the inside of chassis rails and cavities. This costs between £300 - £400 for smaller to larger vehicles.
With rust treatment and prevention there is a chance we will find / uncover holes from corrosion, if this is the case you will be notified straight away and we can offer a rust repair / restoration option and a quotation will be provided.
Pick up truck chassis repairs
With pick up truck chassis failures we can rectify and reinforce the chassis at the failure point. We will align the chassis, weld it back into place, and then use 5mm plate to fabricate strengthening plates to weld onto the chassis.
Electrical installations
We offer retrofitting for electrical items such as extra 12 volt light socket chargers, lights (internal and external) and air circulating fans for vans etc.
On site mobile welding
We only offer on site welding repairs and fabrication if it is not possible to bring the item to us, this is due to the costs of call out charge, travel expenses and transferring tools to the site etc.
Mechanical / custom modifications
We offer a wide range of mechanical services, from oil services, brakes, head gaskets changes and complete engine swaps. We also offer custom modifications such as performance brakes and exhausts to wide arch fender kits.
